THANK YOU FOR SUBSCRIBING

Ellexi has been recognized by APAC CIOOutlook Magazine as the recipient of “,” based on our proprietary methodology, reflecting its position in the industry. This profile has been developed by the APAC CIOOutlook research and editorial team based on insights from an interview with Jangwon SUH.

Ellexi
Unleashing The True Potential Of AI

CEO/CTO,Jangwon SUH, EllexiJangwon SUH, CEO/CTO
AI is no longer an option but an essential factor in driving the success of businesses across all industries. While the APAC region is experiencing rapid growth in AI adoption and development, it is facing multiple challenges around technology, people, and governance. Companies want to provide the maximum user experience by enhancing their AI capabilities with data collection, development of models, and datasets that can be used company-wide based on a strong infrastructure including AI system operator, data, cloud, networking capabilities. To not fall behind in the introduction of these essential AI technologies, companies are searching for customizable solutions and services that can be preemptively (selectively) introduced and easily implemented while minimizing the necessity of AI experts for analysis and integration. However, they encounter difficulties securing human resources for AI system integration, and most companies believe that it is more urgent to have AI development personnel within their organization. This is where Ellexi makes a difference.

All AI solutions and services provided by Ellexi are based on patented technologies, allowing customers to analyze a vast amount of data, and find the patterns and service insights in a very short period without the help of AI experts. Ellexi offers optimized technology for companies seeking AI technologies to innovate corporate productivity and pattern analysis/prediction capabilities to their business operation. “Our solutions and services provide automated AI pre-processing, learning, and modeling applications that everyone can easily utilize, minimizing the involvement of AI experts,” says Jangwon SUH, CEO/CTO of Ellexi. The company's customizable technology can be partially (selectively) introduced; the initial cost of adoption can be minimized compared to turn-key-based technology, and it effectively derives results that businesses look for. With this, Ellexi enables businesses to focus on higherorder tasks without hiring extra personnel with AI expertise and frees end-users to focus on consuming values.

Furthermore, Ellexi’s AI technology is served on the cloud as a AIaaS, in a simple API format that everyone can easily access and use, thereby lowering the difficulties of implementing AI services for their business models. The subscription-based services enhance operation efficiency with a pay-as-you-go model and wide accessibility that lowers the barrier to AI technology adoption, which may attract more industries to join the AI era. "It is our goal to provide AI technologies to possibly check all the status of Ellexi Unleashing the True Potential of AI certain business operations that goes beyond the limits of human attention without omissions and to maintain consistent judgment and processing performances," remarks SUH. Ellexi delivers four AI software solutions—the ‘Philo’ series: Philo- AD/G, Philo-V, Philo-UB, Philo-S.

PHILO-AD/G: DEEP LEARNING-BASED ANOMALY PATTERN DETECTION SOLUTION (SENSOR, LOG DATA ANALYSIS)

Unlike other commercialized AI software, which requires data experts to identify the anomalies before the AI system implementation, the Philo- AD does not require data experts but utilizes the operation data itself by leveraging patented

deep learning technology. This cuts down the entire implementation time and cost by at least 50 percent.

On the other hand, Philo-G is a service version of Philo-AD, and it is a service on AWS marketplace as an AIaaS service category. This service enables customers to carry out data pre-processing, modeling, and analysis on specific data without worrying about the enormous cost of building an environment for AI analysis.

PHILO-V: DEEP LEARNING-BASED IMAGE AND VIDEO PROCESSING SOLUTION

Philo-V is a deep learning-based video analysis solution that can detect abnormal behaviors that are not specified in advance by inheriting the configuration/technology of Philo-AD. The major difference from the competitors is Philo-V can detect newly found behaviors, threats, and other movements that have never been specified before, which brings excellent performance in finding unknown threats.

PHILO-UB: DEEP LEARNINGBASED USER BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS SOLUTION

Philo-UB is a service that analyzes keyboard and mouse events information collected from user’s computer, enabling user recognition, recommending efficient workflow, and providing work-related data and automated time-report creation with AI technology. Additionally, Philo- UB is the world’s first service that utilizes AI technologies in personal task monitoring as well as bossware.

PHILO-S: DEEP LEARNING-BASED VOICE RECOGNITION AND QUALITY ENHANCEMENT SOLUTION

Philo-S is a voice recognition and speaker separation analysis solution that learns voice data through a deep learning-based acoustic model, converts it into text information, and enhances voice recognition, speaker classification, and voice quality through RNN-based speaker vector generation.

Ellexi provides a data-driven AI technology that takes full advantage of time series data analysis. Unlike other commercialized AI technology, it provides a faster and more efficient modeling process through a unique and advanced learning and modeling approach, allowing customers to derive maximum insights and apply predictive models more easily within a given data environment.

As a testament to the robust capabilities of Ellexi, SUH cites a use case—‘AI recognition-based next-generation airport immigration management system’ project with Incheon International Airport and Ministry of Justice. This project aimed to maximize the efficiency of airport safety prevention by minimizing the overload of CCTV safety monitoring personnel through the introduction of AI technology based face recognition and abnormal behaviors detection. Until then, thousands of CCTVs were being monitored with limited personnel. To minimize this work overload, Ellexi proposed Philo-V technology. While using the equipment that is already being installed (monitor, CCTV, NVR, etc.), Ellexi applies stream and image analysis capabilities to detect and track abnormal behaviors such as abandoning bag packs/carriers, escaping from the immigration area, and other suspicious, uncommon behaviors. Unlike other commercialized intelligent CCTV systems, Ellexi's technology showed the highest detection rate under various background conditions (lighting, day & night, CCTV installation location, crowded area, camera angles), thereby enhancing the security monitoring efficiency.

Steering ahead, Ellexi is ready for tech transfer to the overseas market. Backed by a strong team with technical background, the company can help customers improve business operation. SUH believes that in the near future, all software solutions will be evolved into SaaS, the subscription service-base. To this end, the company is converting all the solutions in a format of API services. In the next few years, Ellexi will be generating most of its sales in API services, providing specified API services in vertical markets of various industries.
