FREMONT, CA:  Getac, a manufacturer of rugged computers and the Veretos Mobile Video System (MVS), announces the Veretos cloud –a Microsoft Azure Government Cloud based Platform– which allows its users to handle digital assets obtained from its MVS or in-car video solutions, interview rooms, and other digital devices. Meeting security demands of government agencies and public safety organizations, Veretos is an ideal solution for law enforcement officials.

The Veretos cloud allows any digital video, image or document to securely uploaded, browsed, viewed, classified, and shared using only a web browser.

The evidence management solution helps law enforcement officers and government agency officials easily manage digital assets such as evidence and information obtained by compatible devices such as in-car or body-worn cameras.

The Veretos cloudallows both manual and automated evidence upload capabilities. Once an asset is uploaded, authorized personnel can view it on any browser. The evidence can be searched by metadata such as date, keywords, incident types and location Features

Easy to use, upload and manage any digital asset, the veretos cloud is fully accessible on any browser, eliminating the need for media players, playback equipment, or desktop software. The cloud is compatible with the Veretos MVS, as well as any other body-worn cameras by any manufacturer. With secure sharing and case management, the veretos cloud supports complex data retention policies. It has SSL, encryption, and hash-based verification on device and full chain of custody tracking.

“Getac is very pleased to partner with Microsoft to provide law enforcement and other government agencies with a comprehensive evidence management system built on the reliability and security of Microsoft’s Azure Government cloud. This solution allows any government entity the space and security to store video files at a reasonable price point without any of the added costs or challenges of managing their own servers,” says Scott Shainman, president, Getac North America. “Also, our Veretos Cloud solution is designed to be compatible with any in-car or body-worn camera so any agency can use it regardless of what manufacturer’s video solution they are using.”
