Esendex, an international mobile communication provider, has acquired Derby based Collstream, multi-channel messaging provider. The acquisition will lead to a business with combined revenues of £25m to increase their offerings for their customers and also for further global expansion.

Geoff Love, CEO of Esendex said, “This acquisition is all about growth. The intelligent multi-channel messaging services that Collstream offers customers are something that over 7,000 Esendex customers around the world can now benefit from.”

Collstream which was founded in 2005 has developed a stable customer relationship in the debt collection agency space. The company aids its customers to grow its existing relationships, reduce administrative overheads and more efficiently and effectively perform core business activities, through SMS, Voice Messaging and IVR systems. The company manages millions of SMS, email and voice messages every day on behalf of its customers.

Ian Maxfield, the co-founder at Collstream, said, “Esendex’s scale, expertise and proven track record mean that the Collstream team and technology will be able to develop and expand into new sectors and to grow internationally.”

The acquisition of Collstream will create a collaborated business with further enhancing Esendex’s leadership of the messaging business sector. The company will now have approximately 130 employees in its various headquarters.

Esendex’s acquisition of Text Marketer in December 2013 and now Collstream, combined with continued high levels of organic growth, confirms its place as the leader in the rapidly growing business SMS market.
