Leukocyte-Lab: Game-Changers in the Cybersecurity Arena

Chief information security officers and chief financial officers must continuously measure a company's cybersecurity effectiveness to validate security performance and demonstrate the value of investments in people, processes, and technology.

This is where Leukocyte-Lab (LKC Lab) comes into play.

Initially focusing on attack simulations and vulnerability mining, LKC Lab subsequently developed the H1DRA Security to offer cybersecurity services like red team exercises and penetration testing.

Through its H1DRA Security, LKC Lab supports technical research efforts in discovering high-risk vulnerabilities across the military, national security, and intelligence communities; this experience has enabled it to accumulate robust technical expertise.

Another flagship solution is the ArgusHack platform, which enables LKC Lab to transform its attack-thinking and technological prowess to develop solutions that produce more value for clients.

The ArgusHack platform simulates hacker fight scenarios akin to real-time strategy games, delivering immersive experiences in two modes—story and free. In story mode (AGH-APT), users can experience the real state of hacker attacks when they occur within the enterprise. Alternatively, the free mode (AGH-Center) allows them to develop desired attack plans by freely combining various attack suites and attack processes, effectively raising the combat readiness of information security teams.

Jason Shen, CEO of Leukocyte-Lab, notes that customers don't necessarily need security exercises but a validation of their cybersecurity investments and teams.

Addressing this, its reports, testing procedures, and presentation techniques are aimed at assisting them in making decisions and assessing the success of their cybersecurity investments to maximize their investments in cybersecurity teams and infrastructure.

"We strongly emphasize that the purpose of security exercises is to verify the effectiveness of a business’s security investments rather than just their defense capabilities," says Shen.

Along with corporate clients, LKC Lab aims to help cybersecurity service companies go beyond demonstrating their human resource value and reliably showcase their technical competencies as well. It usually assists security partners in emphasizing their collaboration potential on its flexible ArgusHack platform, driving viable and profitable partnerships among similar products. Ultimately, LKC Lab wants to work with third-party partners and build intuitive combat training ecosystems for enterprise security personnel.

LKC Lab uses two technological approaches to address client needs. The first gives security devices and teams onsite experience by efficiently replicating full hacker attack events on the client side. In contrast, the other methodology involves its intelligent, virtual, and flexible automated attack exercise platform technology, which equips nonprofessionals with the capabilities of penetration testers and acts as an armory for accumulating relevant penetration testing and red team exercise techniques.

We strongly emphasize that the purpose of the security exercises is to verify the effectiveness of the businesses' security investments, rather than just their defense capabilities

Despite intense competition, LKC Lab maintains its leadership position as the only next-generation intrusion and attack exercise strategy platform in the Taiwanese market by concentrating on cybersecurity device testing and satisfying the investment needs of clients. At the heart of LKC's success is its competent team, backed by its leadership and their deep cybersecurity expertise.

LKC Lab is the first domestic cybersecurity firm published by military affairs publications. The Taiwan financial and medical regulatory authorities also chose it for their first year of intrusion and simulation drills. To top that, Taiwan's President and Vice President paid a special visit to LKC Lab at the CyberSec 2021–2022 Taiwan Cybersecurity Conference, an honor accorded to only seven companies annually.

Driven by its unique capabilities and robust solutions, LKC Lab remains a leading player in cybersecurity. Moving forward, it intends to present a more affordable, user-friendly, realistic, and flexible attack exercise platform to assist clients in effectively monitoring their cybersecurity construction, up-skilling teams, and increasing the accuracy and effectiveness of investments.
