Data Solutions Group: Facilitating Seamless Cloud Migrations

“I knew large public cloud providers would scale up to capture the market, so we started with a partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to help businesses migrate to the cloud,” affirms Bernadou, founder and managing director, Data Solutions Group (DSG).
DSG was founded in Australia with the goal to provide knowledge, skills, and tools to companies that are looking to shift their focus from traditional IT infrastructure to public cloud. As a primary AWS partner, DSG helps businesses and their clients succeed by fully leveraging the potential of cloud computing.

The company adopts a ‘customer-first’ approach, and helps its clients create an environment that assures efficient business operations.
DSG provides cloud migration services to Australian middle-market organizations, ensuring a seamless and cost-effective transition. The company’s cloud and managed services automation tool, DSG Insight, handles the transition of workloads to the cloud.
The company’s unique value proposition lies in the way its managed services are structured. These managed services are not only flexible in terms of providing go-to-market strategies, but also assuring higher performance rate and optimizing clients’ existing systems at a lesser cost. Every year, DSG reduces 20 percent of its clients’ operating cost through the optimization of their existing systems alone.
DSG has been assisting a vast client base including legal firms, hospitality service providers, and retail companies among others. One of DSG’s clients is an insurance firm—an underwriter of property insurance—that was previously hosting its IT systems in a traditional and costly environment. The firm wanted to build their own platform in order to interact with their customers more efficiently. They were struggling with budgetary constraints, and wanted to migrate to the cloud in an economical manner. DSG worked with the insurance firm to help move their legacy system to AWS, and improve the performance of their existing systems. “We reduced the costs incurred and made several cloud services accessible to the firm, enabling them to experiment and build viable products to test the market before they invest in it,” adds Bernadou.
Recently, the company developed two platforms to improve the capability to manage customer environments as scale. DSG Insight, an automation platform to manage customer cloud environments and DSG Workspace, automated end-user computing hosted in the cloud. Another exclusive offering of the company is a data management platform for eDiscovery, which aligns with the requirements of the legal sector. Over the next three to six months, DSG plans to extend these offerings to businesses in South East Asia. The firm has gained an average of 50 percent year-on-year increase in revenue for the past four years, and aims to continue this growth in the future. Furthermore, the company plans on investing heavily into DSG Insight and Workspaces to continue to provide an exceptional customer experience.
