CCP-Technologies: Exemplifying IoT-powered Monitoring

Unlike the pathway for many start-ups, CCP is a listed public company on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX:CT1) via a reverse takeover of a biotechnology company in September 2016. Unraveling its repertoire of IoT expertise, CCP-Technologies harnesses its capability to leverage turnkey solutions, support product life-cycle process, and ongoing product development. In 2017, the firm focused on building a foundation with customers in Australia and Noth America; and commenced the process of business development in Singapore. Michael White, Executive Director and CEO, CCP-Technologies states, “There is a lot of talk about IoT in the industry is not being utilized to its full potential. We wanted to change that.”
CCP focuses on three major pain points for businesses in the food industry: food safety compliance, escalating refrigeration costs and the impacts of food waste.
CCP Technologies puts IoT on the plate by monitoring critical control points in the food industry
Globally, food companies are faced with the challenges of complying with more stringent food safety standards. But as companies have found, it is easier said than done. Likewise, keeping rising refrigeration and maintenance costs contained can be difficult. This is largely due to complacent management and lack of reliable information on its assets’ performance to incorporate corrective measures.
With an approach that stands out from its peers, CCP Technologies tackles cold chain challenges by offering a low-cost Internet of Things (Iot) data capture and business intelligence solution. Communicating across multiple networks (LPWAN, WiFi, NFC, BLE) and integrating to other third-party sources, CCP’s solution analyses data in real-time and delivers actionable business insights to any smart device. The company is set to release new predictive analysis tools using a sophisticated big data analytics platform to augment their offering.
CCP’s wireless monitoring solution is targeted at food retail and food service businesses. The company is extending its reach to the food industry through sales channel partnerships, including refrigeration equipment/services firms, IT distrubtors and catering equipment providers.
CCP is offering a compelling value proposition with numerous case studies of customers saving thousands of dollars as a result of being notified of fridge failure. CCP’s CEO, Michael White, said, “Everyday customers are being alerted to breaches of temperature tolerance; but, we are also seeing customers now using CCP to tune their refrigeration. One US customer recently used CCP’s analytics to adjust a refrigeration set-point to achieve a $120/mth recurring saving.”
Aside from having a clear eye on gaining ground on monetary returns, and expanding on their solutions portfolio, CCP Technologies also looks to help reduce food wastage globally. White asserts, “The food industry is quite inefficient, enduring losses worth 1.3 billion tons in food production. So one of our biggest personal drivers is: to find ways to help businesses reduce food waste.”
